    Default Links to Politics

Ever woundered what the diffrences between Communism and Fascism are or how capitalism actually works in diffrent systems? Maybe needed a globel warming site or a summery of the financial breakdown of 08', so you can understand the drama and dilemma on the news? Well, I do, but I strugle to find the really good websites I'm looking for which delivers vast amount of information dealing with all kinds of (abstract) politics. So if you know any useful political links to gather in one hub - this is it.

Depending on what content is assembled, it may be organized in regional-/global political issues; P. Ideologies; P. History/Sociology; P. Issues (economics/capitalism, enviorment, health, media, etc.)

    But there are some rules:
    1. Do not post links to things on Wikipedia or other sites similar to it, you can post link to the actual site (ex;www.Wikipedia.com) but not something on the site (people can use the search feature there themselves).

    2. Before posting, check if the link that you are about to post is already here, I/mods will edit all links into this post in chronological order so it should not be too hard too see if it is already here.

    3. Also, before posting a URL, be sure that it is good/resourceful site (witch information you can trust).

    4. If possible, write a very short description/word about the sites content (ec; Enviormental forum, Marxist-communism, Political language)

    5. All sites should be in English, but possible exception can be taken.
(If you are going to post a site about something, for example Hitler and you see that there is already a site about Hitler posted here, you can still post it, as long as it is not the same site.)

    6. If you find a link that doesn't work then please report it to me. (I will rep people who report dead links)

    7. Reps will also be given to successful tips on how to setup the OP or nitpick link descriptions.

Thorolf was thus armed. Then Thorolf became so furious that he cast his shield on his back, and, grasping his halberd with both hands, bounded forward dealing cut and thrust on either side. Men sprang away from him both ways, but he slew many. Thus he cleared the way forward to earl Hring's standard, and then nothing could stop him. He slew the man who bore the earl's standard, and cut down the standard-pole. After that he lunged with his halberd at the earl's breast, driving it right through mail and body, so that it came out at the shoulders; and he lifted him up on the halberd over his head, and planted the butt-end in the ground. There on the weapon the earl breathed out his life in sight of all, both friends and foes. [...] 53, Egil's Saga
I must tell you here of some amusing tricks the Comte d'Eu played on us. I had made a sort of house for myself in which my knights and I used to eat, sitting so as to get the light from the door, which, as it happened, faced the Comte d'Eu's quarters. The count, who was a very ingenious fellow, had rigged up a miniature ballistic machine with which he could throw stones into my tent. He would watch us as we were having our meal, adjust his machine to suit the length of our table, and then let fly at us, breaking our pots and glasses.

is pretty useful for Communist stuff. It's basically another site like Marxists.org, but smaller.

I'll get around to updating this. Good to see Francois' blog up there, he is a cracking philosopher even if I can't quite bring myself to agree with his views.

Thanks for replys. Now just fill up with good books, articles which made your heart warm of knowledge and other overview of political incidents(HCB, Copenhageen results, investigation of GSachs, overview of the economic crash, etc.) and ideologies(from Platoonism to traditional values, Trotsky to Rothbard), to media sites (large, small, special agendas, investigative journalism, etc.) and political statistics (pie charts, polls, etc.) aswell as politics in history in the ages (from medieval periodes to cold war era) and general sociology(for those who interest in such).
