How long on average do you spend on a campaign?

I have always wanted to know how well i gauge to everyone else in campaign mode. I often find myself taking a week to finish a campaign. This is on vh/vh difficulty. This i usually do with Gondor. So post here how long it takes for you to finish and with what faction. and we will see who is the best!

I don't finish my campaigns at all. After a few hours (about six or seven) I get bored and play another faction.

I have only actually ever beaten one campaign and i rubbed it in my dads face. Other wise i just switch from faction to faction i like the start of a campaign more than the end.

Although occasionally I'll feel like world domination.

I have never completed my campaings... or maybe once, in RTW

I play about 6-7 hours, then I get bored

I must admit, I rarely finish a campaign until the end. I did it a lot in RTW when I was younger but I rarely do it nowadays.

I usually take it to turn 150 or so, but then I get bored of steamrolling enemies and start a new campaign.

Around turn 100-150 depends on how things running.
Usually i get bored when things goes too easy.
So far i finished Isengard, Dale, Ruhn and the Dwarves.

I suppose you play until you reach critical economic and military mass then?
Or do you play short campagin legnth and slowly just do only what the campagin tells you to do?

Actually I pay attention exclusively to my megalomania

To this day I haven't played a single campaign of TATW or SS and looked what my objectives were...

So yes, I play until I get bored with the entire army roster both of myself and that of the enemies... about 200 turns it be, arrr

Sometimes I think the grand campaign should have an objective of 30 territories rather than 45 or however many it has. The late game steamrolling with 50000 in the bank gets dull.

80 - 100 turns is about the max before I get bored. But i've only ever 'won' one long campaign - and that was with Isenguard.

I just get bored after like 2 hours of playing. Usually the steamroll at the end is boring...

Wow i'm not the only one! It depends on that specific campaign sometimes I get rid of it instantly, others I play it through the gritty end, or set up a scenario in my mind. Once in Vannila I established a colony in Jerusalem and most neighbouring cities up to Antioch and was the christian bastion against the invading mongols and later on... I was the stomping ground for the Timurids

Since I'm a full time student, I only play about ½h-1h a day. I'm playing my second campaign now since the release. The first campaign with Rhun took half a year and now I'm on turn 85 with Gondor having played 2 months. I'm not planning to finish this campaign, just going to play to the point when I have fully crippled Harad and Mordor and taken black gate, barad dur, minas morgul and umbar.

I enjoy micro managing every turn and most of the time I don't even get to the next turn in one playing session (sometimes I get to play no more than one battle) .

I normally get bored about turn 100, so I decided to simultaneously attack Isengard, Rhun, Mordor and Harrad this time in my SE campaign after finishing ootmm. So still action at turn 170 though only Mordor and Harad are really still alive.

I usually find TW games very likely to lose interest for me when i crush the few starting enemies. After that there often has 2-3 superpowers, player included, that start an endless war. Endless because of stackspam and uber-economy. So, i only finished a few campaigns, and achieved only one world domination (my second campaign with RTW- Julii faction).

With TATW i have 2 campaigns ongoing: Dwarves (110 turns, but under stackspam, suspended it) and Rhùn (80 turns, suspended it only because of lack of time and other projects. I will finisht them both, i hope, because i really like this mod
