Windows Key weirdness

Every time I hit any Windows Key (left or right) on my keyboard during a campaign game, I get this combination of effects:

1- The "Keyboard Shortcuts" help appears (as if I pressed F1).
2- Sound is muted (CTRL-S)
3- Town and Character labels are turned off (CTRL-T & CTRL-N)
4- The console opens (`)
5- The autosave is reloaded. (CTRL-L)

Now I don't care much about the first four, but reloading the autosave whenever I accidentally hit the Windows key is really annoying.

-Not sure what information would help to find a solution....
-Windows Key are disabled in XP through the registry,. M2TW is the only software where they actually do something (to my knowledge, I may be wrong here).
-I'm using a Canadian French keyboard layout, but I'm tried English Canadian and English US with the same results.
-I have the original M2TW CD, and bought Kingdoms online on Direct2Drive. But the issue is present since I bought the game in 2007 so Kingdoms can't be the culprit.

Anyway, this is not a big issue - I've live with it a long time, however any ideas/solutions on how to fix it would be appreciated.

I think I have a solution (although helping a Habs fan at this time of year burns my soul

).

Do you have a wireless keyboard? If so, upgrade your drivers for the keyboard. If not, please post your DX log in full wrapped in spoiler tags. Good luck!

I got a PS2 keyboard, not wireless.

By DX logs, do you mean this?

What's the ISO for? It's not for M2 is it?

ISO's are considered as illegal activity by the game company's EULA you agreed to to install the game and cannot be discussed on this site as it is against the site's Terms of Service.

Any discussion of if it is legal, take it up with www.sega.com for making the rules and www.securom.com for being the copy protection used by Sega for Medieval2 and Kingdoms.
