Conquer Rome and defeat the other Roman factions.

As said in the campaign main menu - conquering Rome itself and hold 50 provinces.
You don´t need to destroy the other two factions completely.

Still it's very chalenging and more fun if you'd destroy the roman factions. Playing as the brutii is the easiest faction, conquering turkey and greece gives you an enormous economic boost, you can conquer egypt more quickly than the Scipii and Julii (which is almost the strongest faction in the game next to the romans and britons).

I'd prefer 150.000 denarii or 200.000 if your economy should be damaged you'd feel only a bit of a shrink in your safe but the buffer would let you high in the denarii. Being the Brutii this buffer is quite easy to reach.

I still think Scipii gets alot more money than Brutii.

Islands + Coastal Cities = Massive Economy and Population
when the union's inspiration through the worker's blood shall run,
there can be no power greater anywhere beneath the sun,
yet what force on earth is weaker than the feeble strength of one?
but the union makes us strong.

Not meant offensive, but that's a stupid argument... why?
Islands? They don't really matter as Sicily has only 3 cities and so 3 trade routs. Africa has not a lots of cities so not alot of sea trade. Same with coastal cities. Population (in general) not only creates economy, but also damages as you have to build loads of happiness things. Also Messana suffers early from an eruption and Capua isn't realy a growing city in general..
    Compared with the Brutii:
    - The cities in Greece are located close to each other, and if you own western-minor asia till Tarentum and Croton, your economy is massive! Why?

    1. Greece and turkey especially have loads of sea trade.
    2. Capturing Rhodes will result in a trade bonus.
    3. They have the Mercury temple which results into more economic growth.
    4. What you told with Coastal cities and islands is no argument because the Brutii cities are also located near the sea. It really doesn't matter if cities are located near sea, only if they are cities like Susa or Nepte who can't build any ports because they're inland cities. Cities like even Damme can build a port.
    5. Carthage is hugely advanced, building more buildings there will cost you a dear amount of money.
    6. The cities in greece have wonders, which means more PO which means less costs for happiness or law buildings.

It's simply the answer: The Brutii conquers more cities than the scipii (if you count the standard conquering rate like Western-asia minor till South-italy for the Brutii and Capua + Sicily + western-africa for the Scipii)

Almost every city in Greece is a coastal city. In fact, almost every city the brutii conquer is a coastal city.

Build out Rhodes and Crete, there are your island.

And put a temple of Mercury in it, and cash flows in like water.

    Ok, so you know;

    1. Upgraded ports can have 3 trade routes.
    2. Africa has 2 Coastal cities in that area; Carthage and Thapsus.
    3. Caralis is in the area too.

So in total that is 7 cities(Carthage, Thapsus, Caralis, Syracuse, Messana, Lilybaeum and Capua) with 3 Trade Routes and upgraded roads. That's 21 TRADE ROUTES, if you don't count trade with other nations, then maybe 4 or 5.

    Plus upgraded roads.

That can easily be a net gain of 10,000 to 15,000 Denarii per turn

IIRC the shorter sea trade routes that you find in the Greek area and Asia Minor give you a higher income than long distance sea trade like from Lepcis Magna etc.

The upgraded ports also counts for the Brutii
Caralis is a slow growing town.
And i will count the cities of greece and asia minor for you.
Tarantum, Croton, Apollonia, Sparta, Corinth, Athens, Thermon, Thessalonica, Byzantium, Larissa, Pergamum, Kydonia, Rhodes, Hallicarnassus and Sardis. In total that's 15 cities! with trade routs and upgraded roads. Too much to count! So play the brutii for yourself because don't want to count them
Easily it would bring up a net gain of 25.000 to 30.000 Denarii per turn.

When playing as the Brutii I attacked Capua first, then Rome the following turn. I then went after the Julii. I Pushed them into Iberia and once I took Sicily I sent a Diplomat to the Scipii for a cease fire as my empire was too far stretched to go into north africa. More so because it has alot of discontent and I Had already cinquered southern gaul, all of Italy/Sicily, all of Grees and Macedonia, all of Turkey and Dacia and all of the Island regions excluding Ireland, I also took all of Germania too. So it was too hard to advance in that direction...

When I play as Julii i dont like to spread my forces out, I like to capture all the barbarian faction cities so I dont hurt the scipii or bruttii..... I want some challenge when the civil war comes.

All I know is, when I play Brutii, I fall either into debt or I lose my empire.

As Scipii, I always get rich and always get awesome tech before the other nations
