Default Issue that may need to be addressed

So I'm operating on Windows 7 64bit for my copy of RTW and have recently realized that there are several folders that normally appears in the RTW directory in XP aren't actually there. Namely these:

I know in the instructions for the Beta download there were some items that were supposed to be deleted from the various data folders. From what I see, the world folders are still in the data folders of the virtualstore folder that contains half of the writable parts of RTW.

So my concern is, when the final installer is released, will it account for the issues of Windows 7 putting what is effectively part of the game directory in another location or are these folders not important enough to warrant a change in the installer?

When RS2 is released we will 'highly recommend', as we have for some time, that users NOT install RTW 'ever' in the 'Program Files' folders of Windows Vista or Windows7. The reason is that Windows in these versions regards the Program Files directory as a 'protected' folder, and therefore 'virtualizes' parts of programs and puts those parts into various sundry parts of your profile, buried in hidden folders....or, simply moves them 'somewhere' where they shouldn't be.

Some software, and I imagine newer games, allow this without incident, and if you never modified RTW it would work fine. However, Windows regards a 'modification' of RTW as 'tampering' with the installed software, so tries sometimes to 'protect' you from doing what you actually want to do....and RTW is NOT tolerant of this process.

So, my recommendation will be that people never install RTW into the Program Files directory, and, if they do so anyway, we will not support the results.
We already know from experience with RS1.6 that this is a problem, so it's a simple process to follow instructions to avoid these issues.

As you can see for yourself, Windows has already tampered with your install, and I really don't want to get into on-line technical help desk issues when it can be easily avoided by installing RTW into a folder simply named 'RTW', Rome, or something else. Or, at the very least, if your original install IS in the program files folder, then copy that install to a new folder outside it named RS2 or whatever, and then install RS2 there.
