Unable to locate Preferences folder

Current system configuration: Windows 7N Home Premium 64bit

Total War version: Rome BI 1.6, RTW 1.5

Issue:
Having successfully installed the game and subsequent patches up to 1.6, there was one little problem.

It seems that nothing is being written into the folder. The preferences text files and folders do not appear in Data. They appear in /bi/data, but are empty.

Having played an entire campaign (vanilla 1.5), I expected there to be a save in the /save folder. However, the folder read as empty.

When doing a search for preferences in windows explorer, the only folder I found was the one in the /bi/data.

Did the installation go wrong somewhere or is this just a weird windows 7 quirk?

You have to start acampaign for the preference files to be generated.

Preference and saves will be in the appdata folder since you did the install with the UAC on and default location. It will be hidden so you will have to unhide all hidden files and floder in Folder Options.
