    Going to any this summer? Are they even common outside of Norway?

    I am going to the Vikedal roots festival. The bands who are playing there are:
    Elg Band
    Larkin Poe (US)
    FordRekord
    IceBreaker
    Mhoo
    Ivan Drever Band
    Marit Larsen
    The Dubliners (IR)
    Tsuumi Sound System (FIN)
    Jonas Fjeld
    Vindafjord Kulturskole
    Valkyrien Allstars
    Tønes
    Paddies from Hades
    Jethro Tull (UK)
    Minor Majority
    Lady Moscow


    I am mostly going to listen to Jethro. And to get drunk. A good combination, I'd reckon!

    It's insane that these guys are coming to Vikedal. A place with one store. One small store. It's only significant feature is their river, which got salmon...

    I guess there's about 1000 people living there, maybe less. During the festival there's 10,000!

    Leeds Festival. GnR, arcade fire, Queens of the stone age, blink 182 libertines, Lcd soundsystem, cribs, klaxons, pendulum, modest mouse to name a few

    I'm not going this summer, cause the line up sucks major ass, but last summer I went to Mayhem Festival.

    The bands were:

    Slayer
    Behemoth
    The Black Dahlia Murder
    Cannibal Corpse
    Marilyn Manson
    All That Remains
    Whitechapel
    Trivium
    God Forbid
    Killswitch Engage
    Job For a Cowboy
    Bullet For My Valentine


    Slayer, Behemoth, Cannibal Corpse, The Black Dahlia Murder, Marilyn Manson, and Killswitch Engage were awesome (even though I don't like Killswitch). The rest were just typical -core bands. I did crowd surf when All That Remains was on, so that made their set alot more fun.


    And BFMV were extra gay.

    Will probably hit at least one day of Lollapalooza and Pitchfork in Chicago.

    Wanted to go to T in the Park, but tickets are sold out. No good bands tbh, except Muse (and Eminem if you're into that sort of thing). And also Madness.
    A new mobile phone tower went up in a town in the USA, and the local newspaper asked a number of people what they thought of it. Some said they noticed their cellphone reception was better. Some said they noticed the tower was affecting their health.

    A local administrator was asked to comment. He nodded sagely, and said simply: "Wow. And think about how much more pronounced these effects will be once the tower is actually operational."
