They should have quit at Shrek 1.
^I am not trolling..
I really love the movies ...
:/
Anyone know if that forth movie is the last in the series?
Shrek 1 was good
Shrek 2 was kind of funny, but overladen with pop culture references and not enough originality.
Shrek 3 I just watched the other day on cable, and it was basically the same as 2.
ttt
Adopted son of Lord Sephiroth, Youngest sibling of Pent uP Rage, Prarara the Great, Nerwen Carnesîr, TB666 and, Boudicca. In the great Family of the Black Prince
Well..
I hope that the fourth movie, is not the last in the series...
Lotsa memories with those movies I tell ya guys ;_;
I for one thought 1 was awesome, 2 was good, and 3 was meh. I think its smart of Dreamworks to end the series. You can only milk an idea for so long.
Sophisticated dragon
It went slightly downhill each movie, but this last should provide a few laughs.![]()
Shrek 2 sucked balls.
I should have stopped at Shrek 1, that was a good movie.
I now refuse to see movie sequals.
Shrek 1 was funny, 2nd was ok, 3rd was crapy and boring and 4th is gonna suck even worse in my opinion
Besides 4th is definitly not the last one, unless it will fail at the BO but i dont think it will
rep me if you agree
One was alright, Two was really good, and I can't remember anything about the Third so it can't have been that good haha.
Bitter is the wind tonight,
it stirs up the white-waved sea.
I do not fear the coursing of the Irish sea
by the fierce warriors of Lothlind.
Agree 1 was the best. But if they can go back to that then 4 will be great
Oh not another one.
I honestly can't see what was so bad about shrek 2 in your opinions. I thought that Shrek 2 was one of those very rare moments in Cinema history where the sequal was better then the original. Shrek 3, I think we can all agree, was terrible. The fourth one, will, like as not, be terrible.
Shrek 2 had its moments, Puss in Boots was great, but Shrek was no longer Shrek. Not only in appearance for a brief time, but the entire movie in personality. Same goes for Shrek 3.
And of course the 2nd and 3th movies are nothing more than parodies where the first one is quite original.
The first Shrek movie was both hilarious and original, and I fully enjoyed the whole experience, even watching it a second time several years later. The second movie was entertaining as well, and I appreciated that the writers included jokes aimed at older viewers (including a passing reference to Sanford and Son) but -as stated by others- nowhere near as charmingly unique. From what I saw of the third, the humor had evaporated and all that was left was an aimless and puerile children's film, which means that it was also a complete disappointment. On the other hand, all three movies adhered to a great standard in animation.
To this I partly agree...
Simply because Shrek 1 & 2 had good scripts...
And Shrek 3 was just like 20 minutes of start of nothing but "laughable" with no dialogue at all moments...
Shrek 3 wasn't that bad... its just that... I really don't know...
Short of dialogue?
It had so much , lets say... action... but not much moments of intelligent and funny interaction by the characters..
Hell no!
I disagree..
Shrek 2 had a lot more dialogue and funny moments than the third one...
It has been said that the newest movie will land Shrek in the timeline of Shrek 1...
Well.. mostly in a Far Far away were he was never born...
Check this review of the movie...

The best joke in Shrek 2 is when one of the royal trumpet players starts giving a solo performance.
