First of all i have to say that this mod is amazing, probably the best or second best mod available for medieval 2. Having said that, I am unfortunately unable to enjoy this masterpiece I am not sure what is the problem, but here is what basicly happened:

I downloaded the one-download version of the mod, i extracted it into the medieval 2 directory and i ran
the xp conquest file, the black screen showed up, i pressed 4(i wanted to play empire), a bunch of numbers and things showed up( all of them said file not found), then my cd started running and medieval 2 started loading, and just before i got as far as the menu screen, the whole thing CRASHED and a small box showed up with a yellow triangle (caution sign)

btw i only downloaded 1.5 not the 1.6 patch..could that be the problem?
Anyways i hope you write back, I would really appreciate the help, cheers!

If you downloaded the all-in-one download version, it is already up-to-date. Also, if you are using windows 7, you MUST turn of the User Account Control.

well i use windows xp not windows 7...so i dont't think thats the problem

I've got some issues with this particular mod as well I've downloaded the mod, I've got the latest Medieval Gold version installed and it still doesn't work.

When I double click the Conquest VISTA.bat and press 4 (I too want to play empire) it says ''Access denied, wait 30 seconds''. When I wait the same thing happends over and over again.

When I run the game as Administrator and press 4 + enter, I get a bunch of flashes and the game shuts down before it has even begun.

1. Could the above mentioned UAC be a problem? If so, how do I turn it off?
2. What else could be the problem? I'm sorry if I'm not making any sence, it's difficult to explain my problems in English properly :/

Try pressing zero '0', rather than 4 as this starts the mod without copying any files.

I have XP so I don't know hot to turn off UAC. The Holy Pilgrim would know more about this.

Do you have your Kingdoms install updated to version 1.5?

well i have gold edition so its medieval2 + kingdoms, doesn't it automaticly patch up to 1.3?
and on another thread I read that 1.3 was fine, lol is 1.3 fine? or should i get 1.5?

I'd recommend 1.5, I think 1.3 has some problems.

The 1.6 version was the previous version. Originally I recommend downloading this and patching to the 2.0 version because I hadn't uploaded the full 2.0 version. As I've released the full 2.0 version I recommend downloading it from this thread.

SUCCESS!!!!!! I downloaded 2.0 and extracted it in the right place and everything, and everything works fine. I LOVE the mod!

Hi I have vista and same thing happens patch 2.0.Tried typing 0 same thing happens still.please help.edit:nevermind.
