    Default Archers mod?

    Hey guys!

    im sorry that i have many questions, but i couldnt find it with the search option,
    my question is:

    How to edit the archers, so they have more damage?
    in the movies the archers kills the orcs with one arrow, so i want it edit it so, that it looks like that.

    is it possible?

    I think it caps at 60 something for medieval, just try it yourself, put 1000 atack and look in a custom battle whats the atack valor they get.

    It works, great work.
    And the archers arent overpowered i think, if you have gonder archers, and put them behing a line of gondor swordmen, and you figth an orc army of 4000 orcs, you still must figth hard to win.

    The only one hit kill would be elven elite archers, against unarmored infantry. But, still good against armored. It is about making the arrows strong enough to kill unarmored units easily. Though accuracy is the deciding factor in how many you kill. I guess I got it into three classes, low, medium, high. Low cost = damage at about 6, low accuracy. Medium = 8 damage, medium accuracy, high = high damage, high accuracy. Though there is still some variation. Just keep in mind you can not go by damage alone to consider which archer is better. Overall, it makes archers less mundane to use, because you not longer see the archers firing a ton of arrows at light infantry, and barely any dying. I mean I was using elite elven archers against regular orcs, even then. About 3 might die by a whole volley. It just does not fit well with the way I saw them at the movie.

    And here comes the people who say "they are fine, I like how they are." No one gives a crap if you like them, this is for the people who do not.

    of course it is hard if you put them behind. you have to put the archers in front if you want them to be effective. if you place them behind any of your units, the archers will shoot loop upward shots which have almost no damage at all to avoid hitting your own units. very fondamental m2tw knowledge and the first thing i learnt (m2tw tutorial!)

    Actually no. Unless you're dumb enough to put them close enough to kiss their arses. Or behind a hill...

    the last 2-3 volleys will loop, as the enemy units will be very near your own. this, or many of you own troops will be shot as well (i have experienced both)

    Well, you won't get to shoot the last volleys with them in front either as you'll have to run. But if you find a nice hill to put them on they will be fine though.

    Actually, I already did it, I honestly I should be releasing it soon, man the elven archers are SO FREAKIN AWESOME. No one bother, I did the work (it was actually quite a lot). The only reason I have not released it, is because I am trying to add some more physics effects to the game. I just have to make a few tweaks here and there. I am glad to know people are interested already, makes me feel better about what I am doing.

    Cool if you do release it i will give it a shot. Always wanted a one hit kill mod with the archers in TATW. Btw make it so all archers have way better accuracy also.
