Peter Steele of Type O Negative dead at 48

Yes, this is not the first time he has been pronounced dead but it seems to be for real this time.

Seems his tormented journey has finally come to an end.
A shame, I enjoyed their last album.

Damn that sucks. Not a good 12 months for metal, Mike Alexander, the Rev and now this.

Poor guy. I heard that there were several instances where he would be incredibly sick and still make performances. Sometimes he'd leave the stage to throw up. And ironically he'd been sober for a little while now. Guess things just got too much for him.

Or the amount of drugs he used to take, permanently damaged his heart, one may add. I know, Pete was clean for some time but you've got to consider that.

Bad times. I am not a huge fan of Type O Negative, but I appreciate them and certainly wouldn't call them . His vocal style is pretty good. RIP.
