Default weird results with the Zeus Tool

Hi! I ran RedFox's Zeus validator with Roma Surrectum, and it reported a lot of missing textures. For example:

    Textures missing in DMB:
    ln 2801 data/models_unit/textures/praemarian/roman_city_militia_julii.tga.dds

Indeed, I checked that path and there is no such file, at least not the .dds file, the .tga is there. But when I started a battle with that unit, the texture loaded with no error.

And anyway there are many more "errors":

    ...
    ln 1936 data/models_unit/textures/unit_egyption_peltast_slave.tga.dds
    ln 1963 data/models_unit/textures/unit_egyption_nubian_infantry.tga.dds
    ln 1964 data/models_unit/textures/unit_egyption_nubian_infantry.tga.dds
    ln 2070 data/models_unit/textures/unit_greek_medium_cavalry_macedon.tga.dds
    ln 2350 data/models_unit/textures/unit_greek_peltast_macedon.tga.dds
    ...

All DMB.txt references to files that are not where they should be, according to what DMD says.

    What happened?

God said, "Let there be light", and there was light.

On the seventh day, God rested, and looked at his computer screen. Roma Surrectum was loading, but a few bugs were detected.
God said, "Let Roma Surrectum be the greatest and bug-free RTW mod ever made", and there was Roma Surrectum, ready to be played, freed of all bugs, viral, bacterial, and computer-al types.

    then God rested.

there IS no bug, as God has killed it all, but as he made a miracle, there is no logical explanation of how the bugs are fixed..... thus it makes you think that RS has bugged files, but it actually DOESNT have bugs.

I got the humour but not what you meant...

Anyway that's really strange, a guys goes crazy to make DMB match perfectly with the real file location, and then the game works all the same...

That's because those files are the original Vanilla files. They are in a .pak file in data\packs.

First thing is you have ignore all the warnings, as those show up because its not a mod-foldered mod, as for the rest I may have missed a few going through the errors.

Dvk and Squid, your're right! Since this is a non-foldered mod it can use vanilla files contained in the pak files. But there are also these "errors", and they don't seem vanilla files:

    ln 175 data/models_unit/textures/mount/riczu_roman_horse_light.tga.dds
    ln 176 data/models_unit/textures/mount/riczu_roman_horse_light.tga.dds
    ln 230 data/models_unit/textures/mount/riczu_roman_horse_medium.tga.dds
    ln 231 data/models_unit/textures/mount/riczu_roman_horse_medium.tga.dds
    ln 289 data/models_unit/textures/mount/riczu_roman_horse_general.tga.dds
    ln 290 data/models_unit/textures/mount/riczu_roman_horse_general.tga.dds
    ln 699 data/models_unit/textures/praemarian/officer_roman_early_centurion_scipii.tga.dds
    ln 700 data/models_unit/textures/praemarian/officer_roman_early_centurion_scipii.tga.dds

The last two for sure aren't errors as the files are tga and not tga.dds files, the other are probably similar.

After having gone through the results of zeus again, I can confidently state that there are no missing textures.

Excellent! So it's either because they are .tga files and not .tga.dds files or because they are vanilla files contained into the .pak, thanks for the clarification since I didn't know there could be issues like these!

The current version of zeus does not deal well with mods that aren't mod foldered.
