    Default mongols in early game?

i tried to put mongols into the early game, but i was unable to, i am able to do it with the other factions somewhat easily, was wondering if anyone knew how to do it.

also, i wanted them to play like a normal faction, instead of a horde

They were always a horde though. You can't put the Mongols in the Early Era because their appearance is in the Early Era campaign script AFAIK. Just play them in Late Era? Plus, in 1100, they were just some small divided tribes in the steppe somewhere, they didn't unite until Genghis Khan.

I dont think he cares about the historical accuracy

adecoy: What you need to do is change the descr_strat file to give the Mongols starting regions, characters and armies (I suggest using the entries from the Late Era as a starting point). You will also have to move them from the unplayable to the playable section at the very top of the file You then have to remove the mongol emergence event(s) from the campaign_script.txt.

whenver i try this i get the same problem, selecting the mongols and starting a game sends me back to the menu.

i deleted everything under the golden horde emergent, dunno if i did it wrong or what but i left

    ;-------------------------------------------------------------
    wait_monitors
    end_script
at the end just in case.

i gave myself the same city i get in the late game and took it away from the faction that had it, but it is still sending me back to the main menu

When that happens, it means that you have an error in the descr_strat file. Check the system.log.txt file and it should tell you what the error is.

It's only the early era campaign though.
