    Default Music Moments

Have you ever had a moment like the one I'm about to describe where a piece of music just has such an effect over a whole room?

I'm a recent newcomer to Tiersen's music. I've not actually seen any of the films he's written the soundtrack to, despite being a francophile.

I'm sure he's almost been discussed to death but the reason I'm making this thread is because today I was at a musical instrument museum and someone started playing Comptine D'un Autre Ete on one of the pianos that was there and it was floating up the central hole from the ground floor to all the other floors. People stopped looking at the exhibits and drifted over to the hole and stood listening in silence while this beautiful piece was played.

My musical moments happen when I am totally alone and have the ability to just focus intently on the music being played.

    Yann Tiersen is a god

And I think I know what you mean....sometimes, you hear something and it suddenly becomes the best thing on earth. Next, you are trying to learn what that music playing is.

btw I just felt like putting another awesome Yann Tiersen piece

"Therefore I am not in favour of raising any dogmatic banner. On the contrary, we must try to help the dogmatists to clarify their propositions for themselves. Thus, communism, in particular, is a dogmatic abstraction; in which connection, however, I am not thinking of some imaginary and possible communism, but actually existing communism as taught by Cabet, Dézamy, Weitling, etc. This communism is itself only a special expression of the humanistic principle, an expression which is still infected by its antithesis – the private system. Hence the abolition of private property and communism are by no means identical, and it is not accidental but inevitable that communism has seen other socialist doctrines – such as those of Fourier, Proudhon, etc. – arising to confront it because it is itself only a special, one-sided realisation of the socialist principle."
