Same as you'd do for a named character, bur instead of "named character", use "general" instead. No surname, traits or ancs either.

I don't get you. This is how it looks like with characther:

    ;Galatia
    character, sub_faction gauls, Brennus, general, command 0, influence 0, management 0, subterfuge 0, age 20, , x 174, y 67
    army
unit barb naked fanatics slave exp 2 armour 0 weapon_lvl 0
unit barb naked fanatics slave exp 2 armour 0 weapon_lvl 0
unit barb naked fanatics slave exp 2 armour 0 weapon_lvl 0
unit barb cavalry slave exp 2 armour 0 weapon_lvl 0

Should I only do instead of character,I write general?

This is a general, not a named character.

Every army needs to have a leader defined, either a named character (dude with a portrait, traits, ancillaries, etc) or a regular captain.

    Examples:

    Code:
    character Nakhrankh, general, age 20, , x 187, y 2

    army
    unit egyptian archer exp 0 armour 0 weapon_lvl 0

    character Ptahhotep, named character, age 35, , x 202, y 32
    traits GoodCommander 1 , PublicFaith 2 , MathematicsSkill 3 , Embezzler 1
    ancillaries mathematician
    army
    unit egyptian general's bodyguard early exp 1 armour 0 weapon_lvl 0
The only difference is that named characters have "named character" instead of "general", and they also get traits and ancs.
Rebel characters also need to belong to a sub-faction, like the example you posted above.

I think what you're trying to ask is: How do make a city start with more units? right?

wel just copy past other units that the faction can create like this:

    character Kleomenes of Sparta, named character, leader, age 56, , x 138, y 46
    traits GoodCommander 2 , NaturalMilitarySkill 1 , GoodDefender 1 , Austere 2 , Intelligent 1
    ancillaries wrestler
    army
    unit greek general's guard cavalry early exp 1 armour 0 weapon_lvl 0
unit greek hoplite spartan exp 1 armour 0 weapon_lvl 0
unit greek hoplite militia exp 0 armour 0 weapon_lvl 0
    unit greek hoplite exp 1 armour 0 weapon_lvl 0
    unit greek peasant exp 1 armour 0 weapon_lvl 0
    unit greek peasant exp 1 armour 0 weapon_lvl 0
    unit greek peasant exp 1 armour 0 weapon_lv 0
    etc.

or what is it that you want to now?
