I have the Gold Edition, downloaded from Gamestop.com
Every time I try to start a new campaign, I get a ctd with the message that RTW has stopped working.
Any ideas? What information can I provide that could be more helpful?

In an attempt to fix this I have uninstalled everything.
RTR PE tried to install to an "/Activision/Rome - Total War" folder. I have re-installed RTWGE to that folder, and then re-installed RTR PE.
That didn't help, I still get a ctd the instant I try to launch a campaign. (After selecting a faction and hitting "go")

You need to run(double click) the campaign reset batch file. You probably have a shortcut on your desktop for it. Or you can find it in the main Rome - Total War folder. Btw, the idea is to direct the mod to where the game is, not the other way around.![]()
That didn't work. I'm pretty sure that .bat file ran after the mod setup. I left the checkbox checked.
However, just in case, I ran it again just now and I have the same problem.
How long is that .bat file supposed to run? For me it just barely flashed on screen for a moment, and then closes. Perhaps it isn't running properly?

Do you have the modswitch version of rtrpe or the regular one?
I'm not sure.
How can I check?
Screen says RTR platinum v 1.9
I'm pretty sure that it over-wrote game files, so it's probably not the mod switch version.
