Certain Commie/Japanese leaders before, during and after WWII??

Sorry but that is such a common outfit in Far East that no one can really guess who he is.

    A young Mao?

Mao wasn't a warlord. Think Warlord Era, China. 1920's-1945. Come on, he's a famous guy. He's missing a lot of medals in this picture.

Probably Feng Yuxiang, the "Christain General", who baptized people with tap water... He was also known as the most turn-coated commanders during the war...

Although at first I thought you draw the leader of Malaya Communist Party, Chin Peng.

Chiang Kai-Shek cannot be allied to the KMT.

Another hint: He's a Chinese Muslim General, former Warlord man, and a stratagist. Considered one of the best military thinkers of the day.

Actually, he does look very similair to Feng Yuxiang, my drawing at least. You're on the right track though. Thanks for telling me about this guy, I think I'll draw him later.

Best strategist during Second Sino-Japanese War... That only means he is Bai Chongxi, the second man of Guangxi Clan...

I have read somewhere mentioning he was a Muslim, but that is still a shocking news to me...

You got it, its Bai Chongxi. I read somewhere also, that he was a muslim, but I know he was a famous warlord General who allied himself with Chiang Kai-Shek. A leader of the Guanxi Clique, the Southern Warlord provided a significant number of soldiers to the KMT, in the war against Japan. How did I do on my drawing? I admit, the eyes are too wide lol.

Correct. Chiang Kai-Shek, Generalisimo of the Nationalist Government. A military pupil of Sun-Yat-Sen, he was sent away during the early years of the Republic, (because the Nationalists realised they would need a powerful army in order to defeat the warlords,) to Russia, and underwent military training there, upon his return he became the face of the Koumintang Party, and began the military unification of China. Launching the Northern Expedition in 1928 to defeat the much larger, but military backwards, Beiying Army. Chiang Kai-Shek would be the leader of the Nationalist Party, even after he retreated to Taiwan, during the Chinese civil war.

Kudos for you guessing the era to. Please tell me if I get any of my facts wrong, you know more history than I do.

Hmmm, no. His military career started during Qing Dynasty's "New Army" program, when Qing government, after First Sino-Japanese War, decided to build a complete new army under new organization (this New Army became the base of northern Warlords later on). He was part of officer training program that sent to Japan for training, started as a private (later years he would say how much this period had influenced his life privately and publically), around 1910 I remember. It was during this period that he had contact with Revolution Party and involved in the work. After the Revolution, he stayed in Shanghai for quite a numbers of years, which might even had connection with secret society overthere (which later on he used them as tool to get rid of Communist after Northern Expedition in 1929). I remember Sun Yat-Sen met him around 1924, after an introduction done by his close friend, and it was after this point that Chiang really entered KMT. His actual involvement in KMT politic, however, did not start until 1926~27, when KMT faced the first split between Left Wing and Right Wing. Chiang was neutral at first, but after Left Wing elements, realized Chiang had the military command of NRA despite his little influence of politic, decided to launch a coup against him and Chiang forced to side with Right Wing elements of KMT. Only after this Chiang became the leader of Right Wing of KMT, and proceed to Northern Expedition and so on.

Well, just my studying focus is Second Sino-Japanese War and Pacific War, so I know a bit more than most TWC historians in this area (of course, I also study other military campaigns).
