Default No Sound, please help... (Problem solved) :) :)

    Hi all

Well basically the starting into movies play sound, Napoleon gabbling on etc. but when that all ends and it hits the menu, the sound seems to have been disabled. No noise from the gameplay or menu, whilst scrolling with the mouse no clicky noise what so ever.

Now I have recently changed the music output on the NTW menu to 'Descrete 7.1' it was all fine, untill I returned home from college 6 hours later only to find the sound broken.

So obviuosly I changed it back to what it was, Windows default, and a number of other output options, to no avail.

I have checked that the 'effects' 'music' and other things were all checked on, and still no joy.

It's ever since I installed the Great war ww1 mod from the released mods section.

I have removed it, and re-installed the game, and still no joy.

My speakers are fine, they work now, on the intro movie, it's just when I start the game it seems to be sound disabled :S.

Please can someone maybe give me a solution, or have any of you experienced this, it shouldn't be happening TBH because nothing has changed from when it was working to now, besides what I have altered, but I have altered them back now so I don['t see the problem!.

    Thanks.

I had this problem too. Just exit the game and enter again. If it doesn't worg restart your PC. It works with me. Good luck.

This happens to me all this time when I'm mixing and matching mods. Usually, the no sound problems is cause by your user.script file not matching perfectly with the .pack files you've put into your data folder, or when there is a conflict between mods.

    Do the following:
    - create a temp folder, and put all the new mod files that you've placed in DATA into that folder
    - clear your user.script file
    - start building one mod at a time, placing one by one back in DATA, and launch the game between each to try test sound...double check that the spelling in your user.script (if the mod requires an entry there at all) matches perfectly with the .pack file...the slightest error, or missed quotation mark, will cause the sound problem
    - if the problem is a conflict, you'll have to pick which mod to use

    Good luck mate!

(I am really not familiar with computer terms and stuff like that) I also have this problem, and i tried to remove all files i found in the Data-folder for both Empire and Napolen (I had different mods for both, and i want to remove all of them), but it is still not working, which means i haven't removed all the necessary files, or i'm just doing it wrong, help please?

    Hi little Dinho,

Basically press the start button to the left of the screen type %appdata% into the search area > Roaming > the creative assembley > Napoleon > scripts > user.scipt ... clear the user script or delte it, also do that for the 'last used mods' file sorry it's about a year late btw lol
