Having trouble with crashes

I am enjoying RTR, but am having some trouble. Sometimes after turns it crashes for no reason I can tell. Its not every turn by any stretch, but eventually it happens and if I reload it crashes at the same point, so I am forced to start over. Any ideas, or is this a known bug? Thx

If your game is crashing consistently it's probably a faulty install or some other user error. What we need to know so we can help you is

• What RTW/BI version are you running, for instance RTW Gold/RTW Anthology etc...
• What RTR mod are you playing
• What steps did you take when installing the mod
• Are you patched to RTW 1.5/BI 1.6

It never starts for me...I mean....I Had the RTW Patched...to 1.5...Installed BI....Then i Installed RTR....possibly 6.0...When i start the game...screen Blacks out...and i am again back at my same lo' desktop...plz..help...I wanna desperately play this mod

Most problems are usually a faulty install. Something that gets overlooked.
However, you can help us to help you a bit more....
What operating system are you using?
What mod are you trying to install and where?
Is your RTW/BI from Steam or from discs and if so which ones?

Can you confirm that RTW and BI both still work?
There is one verion of the discs, which puts RTW back to 1.3

RTR 6 Gold doesn't work with RTW 1.5 and BI 1.6. You'll need RTR Platinum for that (which is RTR 6 ported to RTW 1.5 and BI 1.6) (and get the mod switch version)

But why not try any of the newer RTR mods? RTR VII: Fate of Empires for example, which is the lastest release featuring the western Mediterranean and adds lots of detail and gameplay elements. Or if you're looking for a more up to date version of RTR 6 (with a map from Britain to india), then try ExRM (a submod for RTR Platinum).

hey guys ive run into the same problem, im running a windows 7 with rtw gold with both vanilla and bi installed and rtr platnum and it works fine for awhile and every now and then it would crash when i hit end turn. Its almost like when i was using a a really old computer and I had to cheat my paging file way up because i didnt have enough ram. But that not the problem with this computer, I can't figure it out it crashes like every other turn now, but im like 100 years into a campaign and i really dont want to quite so if anyone else has figured out this problem pls let me know.
