Hi, I have been lingering around here for some time, and i was wondering if you guys have an idea of when EBII might be released now? A time from would be good e.g 2-3 months etc.

From the FAQ:

Q: When will EB2 be released?
A: Although research and concepting from Europa Barbarorum can be used for Europa Barbarorum II, all unit have to be remade. This will take a large amount of time and an accurate estimate of a release date cannot yet be ascertained. If you can model/skin units in M2TW and want to help us finish EB2 quicker, visit the Recruitment Thread and tell us what you can do.

In other word no, modding is a pretty erractic process so setting a date for release is fairly pointless, although I can say that a full release will definitely not occur in the next 2-3 months.

I think most of the fans are hoping for EB2 to be out before "The Old Republic"; which i think is Spring 2011; at least the Gaza Campaign. No one from the EB team have commited to this however. It will be done hen its done.

I'm not expecting the Gaza campaign for at least a year. I think EB2 will be entirely done in (my estimation) mid-2012.

You're wrong. The Gaza Tutorial is coming.

And this kind of discussion is totally useless. It's not the first and all the members will tell you the same thing ; it will release when it will be ready and in modding it can take more or less time, because it's a free activity.

Asking a date will not change anything. The team itself just doesn't know exactly when the release will occur. But not in the next 3 months is sure. Before 2 years too. The truth will certainly be between.

The Gaza Campaign will be this year, I guess. Most of the work is done I believe.

Foot said that the campaign was in "the final stages of it's development". It was announced in september 2008. So I don't think it will be another year, more like a few months.

The Gaza Campaign is basically a demo that will introduce some of the new concepts of EBII, it will be released before the main mod.

Oh my, you just asked a question that's not supposed to be asked! Bad boy... I asked that question once before and everyone jumped down my throat. Althought I havent posted much, I have been following this mod and forum for years. My "gut feeling" is telling me release day is 2-3 years not months away, if at all... It will be great if it happens, but don't get your hopes up.

I know that the few comments I left have been a bit negative, but I'm simply frustrated. I also realize that these guys are doing this for free and that their time, like my own, is precious. I truly appreciate Foot & team's dedication to this mod. It's just that after waiting so patiently for so long for this incredible mod to come out, only to come to the realization that it's still years away makes me lose faith in the project. Two years is a long time, and I don't even want to think about the wait.

I only wish I could help in some way. Heck, I wouldn't even mind donating money if I knew it could somehow speed things up. I'm sure there are a lot of fans out there that feel the same.

I was watching someone playing the "Middle Earth" mod on Justin tv yesterday and was really impressed with how that mod looked. It just made me think how awesome EBII would look someday...

Two years for a EBII 1.0 to come out? Really? Of course I will keep waiting patiently, we have no choice. It's depressing though.

Bare in mind that for a lot of that time most of the team was working on finishing EB (1.2 only came out a little over a year ago).

Also there will be full releases before 1.0, EB for example had 0.7x and 0.8x versions before 1.0 was reached.
