    Okay, Ive had my mod running stable for over a year. Now all of a sudden, I am having an error with my tooltips. The best example is when I hover over the building destruction Icon, I not only get the "destroy and get money back in your treasury", I also get the "this building cannot be destroyed". Yet, I can then destroy it. When I hover over a hinterland building, such as roads, it tells me that "You cannot change the settlements tax rate as it is being automanaged, blhblahblah..." The tooltips are obviously pointing to the wrong pips, I'm not sure what I need to look at, so that the Destruction Icon only points to the first, and the greyed out icon only points to the second. I appreciate any help I can get.

    It seems like you have a problem in the "tooltip"-file in data/text.
    Have you modified this?

    No I havent. I just compared it to the one in the RTW folder, and it appears the same. Icluding same date and size. Those lines regarding tax level and cannot destroy and recoup appear exactly the same. I assume the TMT references inside the {} refer to either a pip or to another file which designates the pip, I have been trying to track down, but I'm pretty much shotgunning it.

    Strange. And you havenīt installed any non-modfoldered mods which may have caused it?
    What about you create a back-up of the current file and replace it with vanilla. Does it look ok then?

    Ok, after doing a compare with Winmerge, I did find one difference between original and mine. It involves changing dogs to Horses, which I did several years agao. This brings up the tooltip over horses, showing that their image on the strat map allows trading and advanced training of horses. It's always worked fine. I'm going to load up the mod and see if that at least show up, so that I can discount it as a factor.

    The only thing I can think of that is wrong is this:

    Are there anywhere in the file where nothing is written behind the TMT-stuff. Like this

    Is the file currently set to read-only? If not check for non-standard characters in the file as the game has a tendency to alter the text files if they aren't set to read only.

    It was not set as Read-Only. I set it so, and deleted map.rwm. Still no difference. I keep getting the tax automanage not possible on the greyed out hinterland_buildings. I also still get the recoup tooltip and the cannot be destroyed tooltip in the destruction icon. It doesn't break the game, and it still plays, it's just very annoying.

    This happens when you modify some other files in the text folders which should not be modified at all. The game looks up strings from these files based on their line number in the file, rather than on what's in the {}, so adding something in the middle of the file causes everything below to display wrong tooltips.

    I don't remember the exact file names, unfortunately, but it isn't tooltips.txt itself that's causing this.
