Total War Online Hamachi Network

A handful of us are currently using a Hamachi network for Total War Online which serves as an instant chat function, game organiser and 'No Respone From Host' solution.

Yeah, myself and a friend are also intending to use Hamachi as we have huge issues connecting with one another via total war online. When using hamachi with NTW what do I need to do? Like other games used with hamachi is there a .cfg or .ini file I need to change in the NTW directories etc?

p.s. and in response to 'good/active clans thread' there is at least one 7bear7 still playing

you dont really need to do anything when using hamachi and NTW (well depending) there is no need to create a full internet lan line it is good enough to just connect to the hamachi server and then run the game through steam as usual as the connection between the pcs will allow for no connection problems like the dreaded no reply from host .

It also allows near perfect connection regardless of distance as i am here in Australia and play with guys in the US and Europe with no lag at all when using hamachi

Hey guys, I'm getting the "nbo response from host" so I've joined your hamachi network. But some guys are green, and my fiend is blue. Everyone's got a yellow triangle on them and it says "problem with VPN tunnel". Do any of you have this problem, and how did you resolve it? I've forwarded port 12345 TCP&UDP) but how do i set hamachi to use that port?

Most people are displaying green statuses at the moment with one on blue (I think that means his PC is in hibernate or he hasn't opened Hamachi I'm no sure). The yellow triangles sometimes flash up but they're insignificant - they go away and they're very rarely ever there.

When I'm logged on to hamachi, do I just go to the LAN section and setup a game, or do we have to connect to oneanother in a certain way before going into the game?

BTW, the yellow triangles are there everytime, on everyone

hammachi is good but care of hacker, its better to have only friends on ur network.
if u play lot find a ggod friend which have no problem for joined all the game and aske him to host after usin hammachi... it will be more secure ..

The only people using it will be from this forum. Anyway, you don't have to go to LAN just go to Total War Online and you'll be able to connect to anyone else in the network. There are no triangles lol, try restarting your computer or leaving the network and rejoining.

well it doesn't work.. everyone on the hamachi list has a yellow triangle after their name, saying theres a problem with the VPN tunnel. No clue how i fix this?

It's a problem with your conenction then. Try enabling Hamachi in your firewall... or fiddle with the settings.

Anyway, there's 13 of us now and matches are being arranged. Everyone feel free to add to the numbers

Hi there I have joined and also was trying to use a separate hamachi network to play MPC with my bro. Is there a way to use hamachi to start a ame in the 'local' hamachi network connection rather than TW online? We tried but it was not possible to invite. Any settings needed?

Well my brother has ben having problems with his router/AV cutting him off in the middle of MP battles. I reasoned that if we played via the LAN section of TW rather than TW online it would be les likely to cut him off?

Not if you both use the same Hamachi network - then it wouldn't make a difference.
