Patch 1.3 problem

Hello everyone. I am in the process of reinstalling RTW and BI (I really would like to play the SPQR mod). There is a problem though whenever I go to install patch 1.3. When installing 1.3 it takes me to this page that gives me three options: Modify, replace or remove files. I choose modify and after further progressing it says that the operations for 1.3 have been complete or something like that. However, when I go to play the game it still says that I have 1.2 as the current version. I have read of problems dealing with 1.3 but so far the main recomendation does not work as it was not the same problem that I am having. Any help would be most appreciative as I would like to install patch 1.5 but it will not install until I have 1.3 installed.

The cleanes tway is uninstall the game uning its uninstaller, delete all Rome Total War folders, run a registry cleaner, and reboot.

After you install the cds, start a cmpaign to make sure that much works.

I fso, download a fresh patch and install it.

If you still have that problem, you did not get rid of all traces of RTW.
