What is your favorite RTW Alexander faction?

Mine is the Persian Empire, because they're cool, huge and fun to play as.

Plus Illyria, Dacia, Thrace and Dahae are the same faction, I can't believe you made such a big mistake and forgot India on top of it

Epic fail besides, alexander is designed to play only with macedon. The other factions (with the exception of persia) aren't really that important to the game. Alexander sucks anyway, it's to forced, you have no freedom with your expansion or developement

India isn't playable in the single-player campaign, if I recall correctly, so that's probably why the original poster left them out of the poll.

If I recall correctly, due to the insane amount of troops you have at the beginning of the game, you'll lose thousands of gold per turn just trying to upkeep the army.

The others aren't either as the campaign fails if Alexander dies, and dies he does if left under the AI.

This can be rectified with very simple modding.

Go to C:\Program Files\Activision\Rome - Total War\alexander\data\world\maps\campaign\Alexander\descr_win_conditions.txt. Locate Macedon's entry. Delete the bold red bits:
