Default Funny Thing Happened in My Campaign....

First of all, I would like to show you a quote from "Candelarius Extended Realism Mod" readme in the Docs folder in the ExRM file.

"I decided to add the Kingdom of Galatia for practical reasons...the Seleucids need another "speed bump" faction..."

Well, here is my experience with Galatia; Playing as Rome on H/M. I'm not complaining by any means; I love the challenge. Pay close attention to the minimap on the bottom left of this picture to see the size of this "speed bump" empire.

CAUTION LARGE PHOTO...Sorry didn't resize it

Some Armies and Overall Ranking(Top 5)

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

Dacia is an Alli, so Maronia is the only place our two empires meet, and there is no way around the town, and my army, except through Dacian territory. Its pretty brutal, they send wave after wave of full stacks of infantry, which I mow down with my horses and archers.

Wow. I'm surprised the Galatians can afford that many units with that empire...their units may just be relatively cheap enough that they can do it. My guess is that the Seleucids, who have an army in the area, didn't opt to take them on early enough.

    Other thoughts:
Decent expansion patterns for the most part. I'd have like Galatia to attack the Ptolies, but I don't blame them for not doing it in this case.
So that's progress by 247? Hmmm. I think doubling unit costs and upkeeps is definitely the way to go, then. If nothing else, that'll slow down expansion by making garrison forces more expensive.
How do you like fighting the new Dacians?

It might be a little extreme, but it's possible that the Galatians have next to no army for the rest of their empire. I have seen cases where a decent sized faction has two or three full stacks concentrated in one part of the map, but with literally no other army anywhere else.

What does the mini-map look like without fog of war??

Lol. Had something similar happen in my Epiruti campaign.. By 250 the Galatians had conquered all of Anatolia, half of Greece, all Thrace and Illyria. They can afford sending 3 stacks/turn to get killed vs. my phalanx line and Cretan archers. I can beat them, wont be any kind of problem for a human player, but unfortunately they are letting the Ptolemies conquer the other half of the map almost unopposed: Bactria has less than 10 settlements left and Seluics bit the dust before 255.

sad to hear about Bactria, but really, in the end it always either the Ptolemies or the Seleucids who wipe out the other, in the end it seem that every time you make a new campaign there a 50% that the Ptolemies will wipe out the Seleucids or the other way around.

Yeah, it shocked me as well. They went down to Syria and just destroyed everything else after that. I've only ever seen it happen once like

Darn. That's where they _should_ be going. Need to work on that...ideally, we want the Seleucids to weaken but hang onto Syria, then have Armenia backstab them from the north.
