New Laptop in the future

so i've got this sucky pc, that barely runs med2tw, and as you guess, there's no change i can run newest games at all


im thinking in getting a new laptop on my own in a near future (after summer maybe), but i want to keep track of the pc market and see what's new and such

it really needs to be a laptop, for the main purpose of gaming

and for the cliché, it's price must be the lowest possible, around 1000€ or 1345$ (euros and dollars respectivly).


i want to be able to run all the newest games (fallout, assassins creed, gta4, dragon age, red dead redemption, etc etc)and the ones that will be released in a few years, it doesn't really need to be in all the top notch settings, as long as i can fully enjoy the games without lag i'm fine


so what are your reccomendations about ram, video card & graphic card, processor power and overall price?

im probably not going to buy pieces, so im going for an already built computer

Mobile CPU's and GPU's are hard to compare with the standard desktop components so the best I could do is tell you which laptop out of a few you show me, is the best, I have trouble navigating that Portuguese website you linked.

Noone who frequents the Basement has a gaming PC, so unless someone swings by the opinions you'd be getting would simply be based on which laptop has the better specs. Few sites benchmark mobile GPU's and CPU's properly so it really just comes down to picking the one with the higher Ghz. for CPU and the higher model number for the GPU.

If you're sure you want a gaming laptop the ASUS G Series G73JH-X1 might be suited for you.
It's slightly over your budget though but it's more than suited for the latest games.

@dutch devil... well i can afford it, but i dont want to waste all my bank money (or a big part of it) on a pc...

as i said i dont need a top notch pc to run the top notch games at top notch settings, i just want a pc that can run all newest games smoothly (either if in lower graphics).. i dont need super graphics

so i'm pretty much used to manage my disk space, i dont think i need that much hard drive space if it comes to save up money

Well but still I'd go for a bit more since some of the newer games easily take up 10 Gig. Or you could consider buying an external Hard drive if your main Hard drive is full.

hmm, well i would be fine with around 150-250GB


and there's lots of cheap hard drives around, my brother bought a 1TB external HD for 49€

Envy 15 from Hewlett Packard. Doesn't Hewlett Packard have a Portugal site? If not try using Google.pt (or what ever regional Google mirror you use in Portugal) an search for that model.

If that doesn't do it for you and you must get a Laptop for gaming then I say this with gritted teeth and suggest you look at Alienware's Laptop range, there a lot of money for what they are but they do tick the boxes for what you want.

And what if he needs to type a lot? Or what should he do if he's on the move a lot? I don't imagine moving a big TV around is very easy.

OT: Although Alienware PCs look very cool they're way overpriced, so unless you want to pay $200 for a very nice look (or more) I recommend blocking that site. The temptation it's too big.
