    Icon8 Scotland raging in Europe

Okay, nearly every game of SS 6.1 I've played. I've noticed that Scotland seems to fancy Flanders and are usually the only ones to aim for it. A couple of turns later, the Scots suddenly launch a Crusade of Bloodlust on Central Europe. Mainly the HRE.

It's not that I find Scotland giving the Holy Roman Empire a good arse kicking, or sticking a middle-finger to the Pope a problem, having Scottish blood it does make me feel quiet proud. The problem is, it's every game I play. And I've had resort to giving their enemies so much money in the console just so they can raise the armies to fight them off. Another issue that bothers me that they don't seem to care about the English anymore, as a English-Scottish War usually ends up with England dancing into Edinburgh.

Aside from download the 6.2 patch, which crashes on me since due to some edits I make to the files, though not sure why it does that. Is there anything that ease up on it's European Conquest and focus more at home.

I'm using SavageAI btw for the Campaign AI.

    Thanks for help, if supplied.

Perhaps this may be the culprit. I use SS6.2, unaltered, and although the Scotts most always take Flanders, they usually get washed away by the continental tide. {Danes, Norway, Brits, HRE, The Geonesse, and once in a blue moon the French}.

Perhaps SavageAI is really aggresive as the Scots.

Haven't seen that for a while, but as the poster above already explained, switch to 6.2 and you'll see better behaviour from them. I remember the Scots always having their northern European enclave, before moving on to take over all of France and half of Germany.
    I remember, and I shiver.

in a hotseat game i played recently, my friend played ireland and i was playing the papal states, it took both of us several dozen stacks over the course of 50 turns to bring scotland down, they kept going from one city to 4 and back to one through the power of claymores and many, many stacks. it was a total nightmare, i think there is something scripty about a general they have called william wallace

6.2rc4 was what we were using

honestly, if Scotland did not shove him on a boat that was quickly sank, i think we would still be fighting for control of that island

    WALLACE !

What evils he has unleashed in our stainless steel... how many lives have been claimed by this madman ?! He cannot be stopped, he can only be bribed, or princess'd into submission.

    *shudders*

Scotland gets this cilt-clad terror when they are near destruction, best to conquer them fast.

I see them land in Flanders alot in 6.1 as well. In my current Spanish campaign they were almost defeated by the english untill Wallace showed up, now there are no more english.

I haven't seen a badass scotland, other than the time when I took Ireland and gave it to Scotland to assist them in their fight against the english. The problem is, those tenacious bastards never end up getting small enough to provoke William Wallace, for me. However, I have seen them mostly kick England out of Britain, which has led to some amusing incidents such as England taking just about every French settlement(And the western half of the HRE), becoming a mainland power instead of an island power.

Hehe, the Norman Invasion decided to turn around and take the fight to their former king and the Anglo-Saxon homelands.
