    Default Adding firing sounds to a unit?

    Hi, I am trying my hand at a gunpowder unit, got an animation working, fixed the bullet However my attempts at attatching a new sound to the unit when firing is coming to naught. . They twang away stubornly using the archer effects, despite several attempts at introducing new sounds to them. Do sounds have to unpacked or repacked etc to work? How is the texting done to attach units, I noticed slings are attached to specific units, this was the way I was trying to do it, but ignominius faliure. Are there tutorials on this about firearm units, sounds, smoke effects etc.
    Also can units be made to slow down thier rate of fire, (fast firing early muskets are a bit incongrous, i also have crossbows firing as fast as bows) I know this has somthing to do with the animations but is there a way round this, I tried altering in the export_description_unit thing but didn't seem to make any difference.

    This is a mod that adds a dwarven blunderbass unit to RTW. The point is that it includes the files necessary to add a new unit with a firing animation, new projectile and the relevant visual and audio effects. I'd suggest you download and have a look through the files.

    Hi, downloaded the sucker a while ago but never used it. Good idea i'll have a look through that and see if i can get the thing from that.

    where can i find the sound effects for it in a wav. format. Just the sounds by themselves

    Hi, they are in the sounds file, voice and weapons subfiles. Sorry I can't be more helpfull still tangling with this sucker a bit, got sound i wanted by altering the files for the slinger, the smoke is still a mystery. But i moved on, the thing was only for a couple of units, I wanted using firearms.
