music mods

I know this is a real noob question but how in the heck do I get music add ons to play in the game? I've just downloaded the punic music add on for total rtw plat. 1.9 and still hear nothing but the wind across the dunes of the sahara. Is there a special place that I must manually install the add on?

you must install it in the rome: total war folder.
If it is only the Music.idx and Music.dat file and they differ from the original music with names, you're screwed. But mostly if you install a music-mod it will install the music files + the descr_sounds_music.txt file (data folder). Make sure the path is correct and try again

Yeah,I thought I did that.I opened the file location in the game and pasted it pretty much everywhere inside there. Still no music though.Could you tell me the exact folder name to install it into.Sorry for the noob question but that wind blowing noise is driving me nuts.

The normal filepath is C:\Program Files\Activision\Rome - Total War though sometimes the Activision folder is replaced (as in my situation) into The Creative Assembly. Go and search for the Rome - Total War map. If you have a shortcut on the desktop, right-click on it and trace the extension file. If you found it, copy the path and pase it in the install-program where you want to install the game.
