What is your favorite Greek Cities unit. Mine are the Armoured Hoplites.

Not much of a contest. Spartan Hoplites are surely the best, but one could argue about Armoured Hoplites being "better" cause you can recruit them everywhere, they are still a great unit, don't cost as much as Spartan Hoplites (then again, what costs as much as SH) ...

And the fact that Spartans take 2 turns to create 1 batalion and armoured hoplites 1. But the Spartans morale, defence and attack are annoyingly high, so i voted the spartans. A whole stack of spartans should be able to conquer at least the Italian Peninsula, and sure the eastern factions.

EDIT: however i believe there's a mod that you can replace the hidden_resource of spartan hoplites to be recruted to other cities and you can edit the duration of the creation of spartans, though i've never editted those files it is possible. But vanilla RTW the spartans lack some advantages..

I voted for Armoured Hoplites, They're handy fellas to have around. Spartans are overkill in most situations and don't fare well vs, missiles.

I voted Greek Cavalry. Not a very good cavalry unit in general, but they ARE good at what they need to be: the hammer. They compliment all of the hoplites, and can make a unit of Militia Hops more deadly than Roman Principes or Legions.

i voted armored hoplites, they are cheaper, faster to produce, and more easily accesable than spartans. Also, you can retrain them in any city, while thats not the case with spartans.

also you get more respect online if you beat someone with armoured hoplite spam than spartan spam

I voted Heavy Peltast, they are useless as a battlefield unit, but they look the best. The Spartan design is a ing joke

Armoured and Spartan are fantastic, but Hoplites much easier to recruit and keep up to strength.

I agree with you all. Armoured Hoplites don't have recruitment issues and they look awesome.

Don't tell me that doesn't look cool. Especially compared to this:

And they are capable soldiers.
