    Default ETW DBEditor Help

Ok guys, I just re-installed ETW for the first time in a while. a long while, been waiting to update my system, now I have, I thought id try ETW.

As usual I like to change the ranges of the land troops and give them a few more rounds to fire than just the standard 10 or 15. Not sure whats happened, but im thinking that CA have made it so that we cant change these values.
I used the DBEditor for a while, Seen the new version so DL'd that also, Updated ETW. Through Steam. I guess it was an All in One patch. as it only patched once. Now I cant change the values. I can, but it does not show ingame. you know, it just stays as the retail version. not modded.

So my question is, does anyone know why I cant mod the patch.pack file, also noticed there are a couple more there aswell. (patch.pack2, 3 & 4. I just cant seem to figure out how to do this, have been running these changes with the ETW Patch #6 for a while. used to use PFM aswell. but it seems to of been superceded. or sommit.

Does anyone know how to mod the pack files succefully and have the effects show ingame.
atm I have my musket troops set to around 150 on the range with DBEditor, but the troop info still only shows 70 ingame, and in battle its CA standard range. ??? can anyone help.

Basiclly I think I just left it too long and the modding techniques have changed and I got left behind hehe
Any help will be much appreciated.

Turn off "CA tables are read-only".

I have no idea what CA table you mean, I usuall backup everything, so (make backup's on save) is off and (CA packs are read only) is off. other than that dude. Im stuck in a rut with this.

Make sure to save each table change you make at the point where you change it, Otherwise, your changes might be unchanged when you exit the program.

Also, make sure your mod is not conflicting with others. Placing it at the top in Modmanager or the empire user script file may help prevent this.

I always save my works. table by table. it always warns me if I go to another table without saving, always says to save.
Im not doing anything differant than I used to 3 months ago when I used to do these changes, so basicly something in the patch has stopped me from changes these values and having them show ingame.

Im not doing anything wrong, unless the technique to mod these has changed ?

btw im modding projectiles table & units land stats. only changing 1 table in each.
Range in projectiles, and Ammo in Unit land stats.. thats it.

    also I noticed that DBEditor does not allow me to edit patch.pack, only patch.pack 2 & 3 sometimes 3 & 4.

    Anyone ?
