Re: Teutonic
they are not in the EARLY campaing
select LATE next time, tho trust me, things ARE a lot tougher, since all factions start with decent armies, and at least 1 huge city & 1 fortress, so enjoy xD

Re: Teutonic
You need to be playing the late era campagin in order to play as the Teutonic Order, as well as the Mongols.
Also, you'll notice the Knights Templar in the early campagin, in the late campagin they become the Kingdom of Jeruselum, which has a few differences.
If you're going to give the Teutonic order a go, especially if it's on high difficulty, make sure you are fairly good at battles, especially with cavalry using enemies, and can stand fighting in woods with low visibility, because your best bet it to Blitz Lithuania, which you'll only have about one stack to use, as your economy is pretty bad to begin with.
Also, before you ask: no there is not a family tree or princesses, it is a military order, rather then a royal family.

Re: Teutonic
KoJ is a mix of different crusader factions and units. Knight Templar is an order that is founded on fighting in the Crusades but not totally devoted to that duty- it existed everywhere in Europe in some degree and handled large quantities of money acting as bankers for several monarchies.
In the game the units etc vary slightly and the style of play is quite similar with high cost, high armor units and some good HC and a few special crusading units. KoJ is also a nobility ruled kingdom vs Templars being an order. That makes only a tiny difference in play style for most people though.
