HELP PLEASE...

People,help me understand this.Ok,I played Rome Total War before 3-4 years,and stopped but now i play it again BUT i want it with mods which i can't use because of patch 1.3. When i installed the game i installed and patch 1.3 and when i clicked icon,it wasn't like before,as after few seconds,the game throw me out on desktop.Help me please...What do i need to do???What is wrong?

I didn't install patch 1.0 i thought it's with original Rome Total War.....Do i need patch 1,2,3,4 and 5???

The fresh install is 1.0. Were you able to start a campaign after installing the game and before installing any patches?

Well i bought the game before 3-4 years and all this time i played without any patch or mod.Now i want the game to be more real and units to be perfect.So i need to install patch 1.0 first?? (I'm really good in strategy game,specially in this,but i don't no almost anything about patches or mods.)

Okay, do it this way.

1. Uninstall Rome using its uninstaller.
2. Delete the Activision folder, assumig XP and, the original 3-cd set.
3. Run a registry cleaner like Eusing Free Registry cleaner.
4. Reboot.
5. Install the game.
6. Start a campaign.
7. If it works, download and install a fresh 1.3 patch.
8 Start a campaign.
9a. If it works, downoad and install 1.5.
9b. If the campaign did not start, redo steps 1 thru 8 until it does.
10. Start a campaign.
11a. If it works, time to install a mod.
11b. If not, reat stps 1 thru 10 until it does.

Most, if not all Rome mods are 1.5.

I deleted it few times and cleaned everything and i installed mod 1.3(yesterday),but now it wont mod 1.5 to install.It said:

The patch will only upgrade version 1.3 to version 1.5. You can download patch 1.3 from www.totalwar.com

Like i didn't install mod 1.3. Maybe i must download mod 1.3 from that site?I don't get it.

Ok, when i started to play it was normal, like always, and after that i installed patch 1.3. So it's good as far as step 8. When i installed patch 1.3 and tried to enter the game, small window appears and say:
"Please insert the correct CD-ROM, select OK and restart application"

Normally, i close it, and cracked again but after few seconds, the game throw me out on desktop. That's problem,entering the game,after installed patch 1.3.....

Are you trying to use a crack?

Yes. After i install the game, i cracked it, and after installing patch 1.3, the window i mentioned appears and i cracked it again. And it wont. Simply throw me to desktop.

Cracks are against the company's EULA that came with the game and against the Terms of Service of this site. You want to play, put the disc in the crive. Closed.
