Icon5 Phalanx Troops and their long pikes... ^-^

    Hi all,

I do not know if any have noticed but phalanx troops in Rome Total War have a bit of a dodgy weapon animation/transition. When not in phalanx mode they hold pikes, but when they engage (whilst not in phalanx) their pikes just dissapear and swords appear. My question is: is there any way to make them always hold swords in a non phalanx state? - And would this be able to work for me playing in all game modes: custom, campaign, historical, and ESPECIALLY MULTIPLAYER (Im in the RTW WOLVES clan)

I don't think you'd be able to change that without making your game incompatible with everyone else on MP.

Yeah, as far as I know, you can't tell them to move with their secondary weapon. I think they only change in combat.

It is a bit of a turn down when you want to make realistic cinematic footage of your battles.
