    Default Unit ID's? Where and How?

    Where can I find the proper Units ID's for the units in TATW so I can use the create_unit command code. I thought I found them and they were like this (I was playing mordor):

    Orc Band
    Orc Raiders
    2handed Orcs
    etc.

    What is there actual command console name or dictionary name that I can use. How is it formatted. And how di find them so I can write them down and use them in the:

    create_unit "settlement or character" "unit ID" "amount" "experience" "armor" "weapon"

    The rest works but it says
    err. cant identify unit or something like that

    Any help on this would be greatly appreciated as well as rep!

    The ID of any given unit can be found in the EDU, it's the name of the unit
    If you want to use the create_unit command in a script, take care that all spaces are tabs besides the spaces (if any) in the "name of the unit" section, there spaces have to be spaces or use an underscore.

    EDU? sorry im stupid. I did not know the tab thing so thanks for that help but what do you mean EDU and its just their name. Is the EDU that special place I can find the unit IDs or what?

    LOL its just not workin mate. I dont know the problem.

    I cant seem to be able to tab in the scroll down bar either. I have tried every combination for writing the damn names from the export_descr_units file and never works. AHHHHHHHH

    You have to tip in it like that:
    create_unit <settlement/character_name> <unit_id> <opt:how_many> <opt:exp/armour/weapon>
    So e.g. create_unit Moria Miners 1 1 1 1

    Ah, ingame cheat.. well I thought it was about using it in coding and scripting, though...

    Ya but how did you know that miners was all you had to write selukos LOL Where does the proper ID name be found. Thats what Im trying to understand. Like tell me for example how I would make an ork band in the city of Minas Morgul. Just as an example.

    Open your third_age\data\export_descr_unit, use th search function and type orc, you will be taken to the orc section, where you can find this as the second entry:

    The red marked parts of the orc band entry is what you're looking for, depending on how you intend to create that unit, you've to use either the type or the dictionary entry.
    For the purpose of ingame cheat usage:
    create_unit Morgul-Vale "Orc Band" 1 1 1 1

    To find the correct name of a settlement use the third_age\data\text\imperial_campaign_regions_and_settlement_names.txt and search for the city or castle where you want the unit to spawn,f.e.:
    imperial_campaign_regions_and_settlement_names.txt

    Once again, the red marked part is the important one, when it comes to the create_unit command.

    OMG i get it now! Finally! I was switching the " " to settlement not the unit ID part. HAHA thanks for writing that out properly man.

    doesnt work, ive tried to build Gondorian Infantry at Pelargir but it doesnt identify the unit

    BTW you don't necessarily have to look in the incredibly_ing_long_name_file.

    create_unit "Minas Morgul" "Orc Band" works just as good.

    it doesnt recognize any unit with two words, the only unit as gondor I can produce are Marines, which are Pelargir Marines

    That's why you have to use "" at the beginning and at the end of the name of the unit.
