The closest thing you'll get to online campaign is hotseat. But that is hardly MP, since you don't actually play against any humans, you just send files through e-mail.

I have been looking for a way to play multiplayer campaigns online for some time and have failed to find anything on the forums. There is a script for RTW that allows email hotseat, but not simultaneous play like NTW. The retrofit mod for MTW allows same computer hotseat, but I have not found a similar mod for RTW. Additionally, I have not found any mod for RTW that allows multiplayer campaign games like NTW.
