Any suggestions? I was looking at Newegg. I am trying to keep it at $30. Optical mouse, USB, wireless if possible. Any suggestions, or warnings?

No, I can't really extend over that budget. Problem is, its not for me. My younger brothers mouse is on the fritz, with the computer not registering it every few minutes of a few seconds, which kills you in shooters. $30 is the money he has, and I am willing to loan him, but he won't accept more than a few dollars.

No, its a cheap wired mouse, but made by Microsoft. It has served me for 2 years, and he inherited a year ago when I moved to wireless. I think it would be better to just get a new mouse rather than bring it somewhere for a diagnosis and repair.

buy another cheap microsoft mouse, those last for ages, and seriously most competitive gamers don't use those razors, never seen the need on them

i use a G9 and its amazing, got it for 45 bucks to, kicks theout of the those overpriced Razer garbage
Logitech mx518, great cheap gaming mouse, highly recommended.
Get a mx518. Logitech, great dpi, has thumb buttons very comfortable.
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
It doesn't really have that orange thing on it.

Some basic (laser) mice and screw the wireless-thing. Ain't worth it.
Is there even a wireless option for the serious gamer?
Maybe the response time has caught up with wired, I wouldn't know, but typically wireless mice have the weight of batteries. Thanks but no thanks, the extra weight reduces the response time of your hand.

Razer Mamba if you want a wireless gaming mouse.![]()
RIP Calvin, you won't be forgotten.
OK I admit I currently use a Razor Copperhead - and it gives me an edge over the mx518 as far as I can tell(I get called a cheat by noobs even more often than before
)
I prefer the 518 to razer's junk. I had a deathadder and one day a few months after i bought it the left click just stopped working. I contacted razer, they refused to refund me so i will never touch their products again.

Yeah, actually I agree. Their support sucks. And they seem to expect an unreasonably high level of tech ability from users.
But I can't vote with my purchase when it means I don't get what I want. My copperhead is the best mouse I've owned, and even knowing about how bad their aftersales and support sucks doesn't put me off. If it dies I'll just buy another.
But I've missed the 518's autoscroll buttons like crazy now I think about it... might have to do something about that ...
