Replacing Rohan voices?

Is there a way to do this and just have the original Med2 voices play and say "spearmen!" or whatever. The voice overs for Rohan in my opinion are really bad and make me not want to play at all because I cringe every time I click a unit.

It is a lot of work to make all voices again, there is a submod working on new voices though. And on the other hand. You wouldn't want to hear Theoden shouting "DEATH!" every time you charge your cavalry, would you? It is very hard to get good voices.

Like el Cid said, it's hard, but there's a voicemod in process. Though I'm not sure how the process goes.

baron samedi has a good music tutorial in the guides section. everything he says for music aplies for voices as well. you will need to find the original MTW2 voices using the idx extractor and replace the original ones with them via the descr_sound_voice.txt or whatever the name. all in all, it's easy when you get used to it.

EDIT: ellin and el cid, you diidn't get it. he wants the vanilla voices, not new ones

not to be mean but this has already been discussed and not to long ago.

like stated previously there working of voices in the sub mod section though currently in just for the elves. (speech crafter of middle earth). if you have further questions visit the frequently asked questions thread or ask the voice sub mod team.
