I have downloaded the 4.2 patch,then the Hordes,Heroes and beyond sub mod,and installed them both.However,whenever i pick any faction,it sends me back to the main menu.Is there anyway to fix this?

Strange that sort of thing happens when there is an error in the descr_strat usually and there is no error in the HHB descr_strat ( you did install part 1 then part2 of the submod yes in that order

It happened to me a couple of times while I was making some changes to family structure of some factions, it was more of a semantic error, but it happened because I changed the file, if you haven't made changes to the mod, it runs perfect, make sure to follow all the instructions on how to install it, kgcm 3 part 1 -> part 2 -> patch 4.2 -> HHB part 1 ->part 2 ->minor bug fix, and before running game remove the map files indicated in the install instructions in HHB thread, and clear the cache. Well that should give you a working installation, if you did it that way and you haven't done any change to desc_strat file then its time to check your game log, it should supply some clues about what is happening and you can have a guess on how to solve itor post the log and anyone in the forums could help you (myself included
).
