Default 17th WSS division "Goetz von Berlichingen"

To those who falsely accused the division of “war crimes” in order to justify war crimes against the unit, its hard bitten
veterans always replied with the division motto: “Kiss My ***,” Known as the Iron Fist Division, the 17th SS Panzer
Grenadier Division, “Goetz von Berlichingen” always hit hard. It was one of the few German combat divisions that
continued to attack, infiltrate, and raid its enemies right up to the Endkampf. Now QuikManeuvers.com has prepared for
its readers the most comprehensive book ever written on the 17th SS Panzer Grenadier Division, “Goetz von
Berlichingen.” Smell the cordite, smell the blood as you travel the glory road with the 17th SS Panzer Grenadier
    Division, “Goetz von Berlichingen.”
this could become a good film.

What do you think of this badass division? These men were hardcore fighting machines who fought until the end. They had no qualms about being a bit "tough" like the Japanese soldiers. Everything was used 2 further their goals, even taking and holding filled POW camps as hostages.

American left winger writers did not have the balls to write the truth, so they made up lies about this division and its glorious history. The 17th SS was too tough for them.

However, because it was so tough, the 17th SS Panzer Grenadier
    Division, “Goetz von Berlichingen”
    has been frequently overlooked
or negatively described by America’s predominantly left wing historical
    writers.

These men were not afraid to get dirty

    1. Standard netiquette, and indeed standard academic practice, is to cite the reference so readers can read the original.
    2. Does this really need a new thread, with the only original material being "this could become a good film"?

    Recommendation: close thread as spam.

Do not be so negative. I just wanna start a historical discussion about the 17th SS's history and achievements.

    1. Link to the original.
    2. Provide more original material.

[Decision] Vestigia Vetustatis moderation (Passed, 41-7-4)
The Curia asks the moderation staff to outlaw polls and OPs with no substance in the Vestigia Vetustatis. There is no good reason for the plethora of polls in a forum meant for discussion of history, and 2 sentence OPs consisting of a statement followed by "Discuss" are worthless, and don't deserve a thread.

So include a link in your OP, and provide more of your own commentary than "this could become a good film". Next time you start a new thread, start with your own post, and add quotes afterwards, rather than start with the quote and adding a line.

Not exactly a good way to start a discussion- nothing to discuss about, no info provided in the OP, etc.

i believe nikitn may be refering to the belief that americans murdered pows from this division en masse.

So yea, there is no content here but a subtle attack on americans yet again..

Not that it matters but 200 guys in one grave, all with close proximity gunshot wounds and plenty with bashed in skulls... that sounds familiar though they wore the wrong uniforms... so while the circumstances are not clear it is very clear that those guys did not die in combat.
"Sebaceans once had a god called Djancaz-Bru. Six worlds prayed to her. They built her temples, conquered planets. And yet one day she rose up and destroyed all six worlds. And when the last warrior was dying, he said, 'We gave you everything, why did you destroy us?' And she looked down upon him and she whispered, 'Because I can.' "

    It was revenge I believe.

Hmm seems 2 me that Americans are humans as well (referring 2 Americans at this forum whining and ing about Soviet soldier's behaviour in Germany).

Not denying the controversy surrounding it, nor am i trying to bring in the many examples of german or Soviet crimes against POWs. Merely shedding light on the motive for this thread; it lacks substance other than that little feature.

Actually no Carach you yet again fail 2 see the point.

I just thought these WSS fanboys wrote pretty awesomely

But then again, quickmaneuvers is an ultra-conservative-right wing (not nazi tho) US nationalistic site.

I think allot of conservatives here would like this site

LOL. American left wing historians? What a crock. What's interesting is how in the West, the Waffen-SS are given celebrity status and have multitudes of fanboys - any idea how that developed? Could it be that Western historians have created this false-image of superhuman soldiers in the post-war years?

...and I had no idea that Kirov = Nitkin. That clears a lot of things up for me.
