As a german I too can say that "sexburg" doesn't sound neither feminine nor prudent.
Let's hope this name was no invention of KK and the modding team, but rather an old rohirrim word meaning something like "grace" or "pia"...

you can then upgrade the mcdonalds to drive-ins that will make the balls faster....

It seems that sexburg was a indeed germanic and especially anglo-saxon name for women.

There are some versions of the name, but here is an interesting quote from wikipedia about a Saint Sexburga:

Saint Seaxburh or Saint Sexburga of Ely (died c. 699) was an Anglo-Saxon king's daughter, an Abess and saint of the Christian Church

ah, okay. That's indeed news to me.

But notice the difference in the spelling: seaxburh was obviously the anglo-saxon name, that was latinised into "sexburga".
Shouldn't the name of the poor lass then be "seaxburh" - and not "sexburg"???

You are aware that Celeborn's name in Quenya is Teleporno? We can't judge everything under our culture light, cultures differ geographically and historically.

I can assure you that the name was not intentionally chosen to be written that way and I think it's a good thing that Varjon (responsible for names) didn't care for such silliness.

it just had to be said its like in ss one of the teitonic generals is called Kunst and there was like a 3 page long thread about that.

I also found pages were the same person (Saint Sexburga) was simply called Sexburg, so that version seems to exist as well...
