Dead at Helms deep.

Well at the time, i was playing in the TATW campaign as Rohan. So as you know Edoras gets invaded by the evil factions. SO i retreat both my Heir and faction leader to helms deep. I leave a full stack with me 3rd best general in charge. I also have a full stack with 2 generals right beside Edoras to aid it if emergency. So i have basicly all my good archer, and Infantry units at helms deep defending my king. And i had a plan that i had 1 full stack of men hiding around the corner if and when they come and try to kill me king. So i lost edoras in the 2nd invasion and they finally came for me at helms deep. SO they attack Helms deep, they lose so they are starting to flee so i ambush them. And we defeat them and i start stacking up my men to re-take Edoras so i have 5 full fricking stacks of men( Stacks as in Armys). So i try to re-take it but they had reinforcments from Ruhn, Harad. So they try to attack my men so i retreat back to helms deep and WTF! they are waiting for me with so many men! And i lose my king and heir. And just before we battle, Gondor just comes to aid me but was1 turn away from aiding me. So idk how they knew i would re-treat back to helms deep. So then all my other villages/citys die...

This is a strategy game after all... The Invasion stacks would probably have returned so attacking them seems like a waste and you have to know where your enemy is, get some more spies or build some watch towers.

When fighting invading stacks, killing the general is the only way to truly stop them.

I did! I had watch towers and spys like all over the valley into helms deep. So idk how the sliped by

As long as the general is still alive the hole army will have the movement-bonus.
I once hunt a nazgul for 15 turns til i get the bastard.

He retreats from Edoras almost as far as to the black gate (as i saw when i send 2 spys after him), get some new troops and come back again... and again... and... finally run in an army of mine with 3 fresh rohan-rider units to kill him (btw i got 1 bruised unit left after that...).

Do what you can to kill the generals quick or they will be a pain in the neck.

Leave no suvivor's. Just kill everything. At the ned of battle continue it. And capture/kill all enemy units. Save's alot of troube in the long run!

Sorry man but I lol'd at your story

Basically just kill everybody after a battle, I personally enjoy killing every last person on the battlefield, I'd love to run them down beyond the boundaries but I can't.

i am new to the game and i was really suprised to see an invasion but i prepared and i killed the full army and the nazkul
30 men escaped

can anyone tell me of i need to prepare for another stack or just conquer futher
i dont have the money for both

yeah i few turns later i got the message but i am 20 turns futher now and i am quonquering the misty mountains (already killed the balrog)
and i get another invasion on me luckely now i have the monny for both

BUild a full stack of calavary. But a general in it. And whne the enemy gets too close. Attack them ( Weaking there forces ) But keep sending calavry to the location of the attack. After doing so. The enemy should take a big hit. And loose a king or something? In the invasion called on edoras ( When i palyed as rohan. I killed Mordor / Rhun / Harad / orcs of the misty mountins. - Factions leaders. And the heirs. I Got alot of traits doing this. And hit the neemy pretty hard

Dont waste extra money on offence troops. should always use left over money and save up.. Or Build a stack to defend a settlement witihn your region.

OP - sounds like a properly epic campaign! I think getting crushed by the enemy every once in a while is good - it drives you to seek revenge!
