    Default good vs good?

just wondering what everyones opinion was on playing as a good faction and fighting other AI good factions?

I find that unless you do attack other good factions you are channeled towards a particular enemy, eg Rohan who unless they move east (towards Mordor) fast they almost have to head north against Isengard, but once isengard is dealt with who next? a very long journey east to Mordor? i imagine it would be similar with Gondor aswell? north is allies, Rohan, and south and west is sea/ mountains so your practically forced to go east to Mordor.

so this is kind of a two part question, what do you think of attacking other good factions? and does anyone else find themselves being forced in a certain direction like I said with Rohan and Gondor? just wondering...

I only do this when I am very mighty and just don't like my pityful ally within my lands anymore.

I enjoy killing elves with my dwarves. Thousands of years of existence doesn't seem to help them much with an axe struck through their head.

Otherwise, I tend not to. I like to stick to Lore when I can. At least there are some rivalry between Dwarves and Elves.

I don't as Gondor... for me Mordor and Harad (2 out of 3 directions) is more than enough territory for the first part of the game. And then I can choose to either rape Rhun or turn evil

I've never done it. Probably will try a war between mighty Dwarves and those pointy-eared weaklings...

once I've played Harad and sided with Gondor against Mordor, it was really funny; think of it as some pro-Gondor party coming to power

Try to enter woods of "pointy-eared weaklings" with your clumsy dwarves, I doubt that even one will go through

In one campaign i let the high elves went... well, dark.

I wipe the dwarves in the blue mountains in the first few turns out, then hurry to get enough troops again to the east to hold the oomm at bay.

While the orks and dwarves enjoys themselves (poor little dwarves with such a bad start... btw they dont care much, we met around turn 80 in the mm), i conquered the western lands (die, hobbits, die).

Eriador was not much a challenge but for sure a nice slaughter.

I didnt finish the hole thing, but in the end i think isengard/mordor would have killed me.
Around turn 120 i saw them with a few stacks on the formerly borders of eriador, before i give up i use
toggle fow and they have crushed rohan completly, gondor got 3 regions left.
I had drove the dwarves back to the borders of dale but my armys was wasted through the losses.

Anyway, was fun to slaughter hobbits with elvenarrows, a complete new gameexperience at least.
May the earth be light upon you, lest the dogs can dig you out more easy.

Elves must die, they were sailing west anyway you might as well speed their travel regardless of your faction

I usually try to play more or less lore-like and while I think it's OK to backstab other evil factions while I'm evil, I wouldn't do it with good factions. When I have no evil neighbours anymore I try to gain military access to march through the land of my allies. It can be a bit tedious without production centers near the front, but on the other hand it is a fun and interesting situation to be all alone in enemy territory without reinforcements.

It's a bit different of course, when good factions attack me. These traitors need to be punished. I think I've mentioned the HE game before where I made these treacherous Sylvan Elves my vassals...

Well, I too play Dwarves and they are a favoirite, and while I'm all for cutting down Mirkwood, stay away from my precious High elves.
