RTW-BI Faction Discussion - Huns
Hello again.
My previous faction discussion thread which can be viewed here, kicked off rather well I think, so I have created a new one. This time we're discussing a faction a bit further away from Britain. Very far away. Infact, on the other side of the known world. The Huns!! The barbarian nomads that terrorised the Western Roman Empire for many years, the people who are most famous for their greatest leader, Attila!
I could go on and on but this isn't a history of the Huns.
I, yet again, shall start:
The Huns I think are very powerful and have a very balanced troop roster, at least compared to the earlier Scythians. I also think that they have a balance between missile cavalry and regular cavalry.
On a another subject, a good strategy would be to move west into the decaying West Empire and plunder that, due to the fact that the East and the Sassanids are heavy city defenders and have catapharcts and camels. Eek!
That's all I have to say for the moment.
Enjoy the thread!!

A good strategy is to move into Eastern Roman Empire and take Constantinople first. That city is very rich, and the garrison they have in such an improtant place is pathetic.

Re: RTW-BI Faction Discussion - Huns
A very good and smart strategy is to turn into hordes every faction possible, starting with Roxolani (with the hope they'll go after Sassanids), then Sarmatians, Goths (hopefully with the Ostrogoths spawn),Burgundi,Lombardi, Franks. Why? Very simple, hordes will go after both empires, making them much weaker. It's much better (and funnier, if you like to face different enemies all the time) to have a lot of small kingdoms of 4-5 cities each one to conquer, than 2-3 big empires. In the while you can keep plundering cities, through Germany, France and then move and settle in Italy. You will have almost fully developed cities, and plenty of money by the time. Once you have settled, you build up your armies, conquer barbarian kingdoms and what's left of the empires. Very easy and fun guaranteed.
