    Default Untrustworthy

Ive been playing with Sicily in the late era camp .
After 50 turns ,im regarded as untrustworthy.
Which is kinda a surprise since ive only been slaughtering the moors and have been allied to the papal states from the beginning of the game offering tributes. Giving me the max piety.
Ive never attacked a catholic or orthodox nation even.

Your reputation is derived from several factors:

    1. Alliances benefit it.

    2. Wars harm it.

    3. Attacking people and breaking treaties harm it.

    4. Using assassins harms it.

That's about it really, it seems like wars may be damaging your reputation.

If you have no alliances and are sacking or killing prisoners you will get a bad reputation. Your favor with the Pope might be high but that is not the same as reputation.

1.Only allied myself with the Pope and Venice because they were up in the north and i didnt had any intent on marching up there.

2.Only been at war with Moors ,but after some bloody finales of battles . Had a jihad on my capitol, with the seljuks ,the fatamids ,kwazerhm and the mongols .Even HRR declared war on me after the call of the jihad.

3.Only broke one treaty . A peace treaty that i accidently accepted instead of refused . Because the offer came from the a holes who took my capitol . And i was going to retake it in the next turn .
Exterminated a lot of people though in Africa ,so i could continue my momentum.

4.Maybe used three times an assassin in 50 turns.

Extermination and Execution are two ways to get a big drop in rep. If you execute any family members that you've captured in battle, is an additional rep penalty on top of the soldiers you've executed. Sounds like you've been doing a lot of this. It does not matter which faction or religion you are killing, you still take a hit to your reputation for doing so.

Although SS modifies some of the values that affect reputation, I don't think it adds new rep modifiers. You may want to check here as to why your rep has declined:

From everything I've seen, using assassins in no way causes a drop to rep (unless someone can point to a spot in one of the files that says otherwise)

Aye, I miss the Execute option early game. I find myself never using it for much of the game, because reputation and chivalry are so vital early on. Of course, once I become a juggernaut I say screw reputation and become a despicable person just to make it a teensy bit more difficult. Well, and so I can get a max dread general or two.

I can never bring myself to exterminate unless I'm sending armies into enemy territories that I don't plan to keep, regardless of the situation. It's just too painful. Population is vital.

In fact, it's likely to be bad, because the best way to do well with Popey is to bribe him

I might be wrong, but attacking Crusading/Jihading armies instantly hurts your reputation, even if you release all the prisoners and they're attacking you (and in your territory, ofc). As Fatimid Egypt I beat at least a dozen stacks of Crusading armies bound for Cairo and my rep dropped from "Mixed" to "Very Untrustworthy" as it went on.

So as far as rep goes, I find I'm basically screwed if I have to fight a jihad or a crusade.
