Default Move to suggestion thread, can't find it.

Moderators for this sub-section of the forum please move this post to the appropriate thread.

I would like to make a suggestion for RTR: VII when it comes out; would it be possible to move the unit cards (not sure of the proper terminology) the pictures of the units for online multi-player battles of the mercenary units to the bottom row on all the factions. This would help guys like me who are historically illiterate to distinguish between units from the faction and mercenary units.

Yes I realize that most units say mercenary on them but some units do not. Maybe this has already been asked, don’t know. It would also speed up the purchasing process.

I think I know what you are saying. At the moment, in FOE 1.3, every single AoR and mercenary unit in the game is available to every faction, so that Celtiberian mercs would be recruitable. This was done purposely with the view to providing maximum flexibilty when composing your multiplayer armies.

However, with hindsight, I think that this was a mistake. Yes, you have a wide choice of units but I have to agree that it's a bit over the top and a mess. Therefore, this will be addressed in the forthcoming FOE 1.4 Patch. What we have done is to restrict recruitment so that factions will only be able to recruit their historical factional troops and AoR and mercenary troop belonging to their immediate culture: Rome will have only access to Italic AoR and mercenary units; Epeiros - Greek, and so on. This, we hope, will clear up the current clutter.

One of the few exceptions in life, were you can get something for free and it's really is free. All that's left is to play it.

Thanks to you and all modders, there are lots of good ones out there that's for sure.
