Seriously, Who the hell made this ? and did anyone actually take it seriously?

It looks so bad that I actually feel sorry for anyone even remotely involved in it. Its like they're all retarded or something.

As a kid I used to watch allot of 80's crappy Turkish/Arabic action movies at my Moroccan mates house, who sweared on those kicking Hollywood in the nuts.

At the age of 9 (especially in the 80's)you don't care about crappy or not, as long as things explode all the time, and that it did.

I used to like that movie, have watched it many times when I was younger in a serious way

Cüneyt Arkın was a legendary figure with over 300 movies....in most of them he single handedly slew Byzantine armies
In fact people think Byzantines were very very cruel because of what they saw in those movies.

"Therefore I am not in favour of raising any dogmatic banner. On the contrary, we must try to help the dogmatists to clarify their propositions for themselves. Thus, communism, in particular, is a dogmatic abstraction; in which connection, however, I am not thinking of some imaginary and possible communism, but actually existing communism as taught by Cabet, Dézamy, Weitling, etc. This communism is itself only a special expression of the humanistic principle, an expression which is still infected by its antithesis – the private system. Hence the abolition of private property and communism are by no means identical, and it is not accidental but inevitable that communism has seen other socialist doctrines – such as those of Fourier, Proudhon, etc. – arising to confront it because it is itself only a special, one-sided realisation of the socialist principle."

God this "OMG Turkish star wars" is old, we've had threads about it.

The soundtrack is ripped off too
    Soundtrack

The musical soundtrack is entirely lifted from Western film hits of the time, primarily using Raiders of the Lost Ark. There are also scenes incorporating the music of Moonraker, Ben Hur, Flash Gordon, Battlestar Galactica, Planet of the Apes, Silent Running and Disney's The Black Hole.

The movie is called: The man who saved the world

You had many movies in the Turkey, and throughout the Middle East and India, which were just shameless rip-offs of famous Western movies like ET, Superman and Star Wars, but which were incredibly crappy and even comical.
