a gamer i met online can't play R:TW anymore and would like some help/advice, this is the description he gave me:
well one time around 5 months ago i decided to remove rome total war until some error message saying Error loading C:\PROGRAM FILES\COMMON FILES\INSTALLSHIELD\PROFESSIONAL\RUNTIME\11\00\INTEL32\Ctor.dll this specified module is not found so i checked every detail and the files were gone then i checked the 50 folder and they have the files still there now i cannot remove rtw from my computer and if i want to play it it loads up and remove me from the game.

OK, it sounds as if your friend cannot auto uninstall the game. I suggest your friend manually delete all the RTW files, including the saved game files and all other folders. Then do a clean install of the game.

Things are very seldom what they seem. In my experience, they’re usually a damn sight worse.

The best way now is to delete the Rome folder(s), and run a registry cleaner.
