Cannot find shared.txt etc missing text

Ok first things first i have win 7 64bit and using steam

I read your guides http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=280200 to get it working in steam i have it running through the launcher and it runs now just missing the text. I moved the broken_cre folder to my /mods directory, copied the cfg files and the other ones that where in the total war root directory. Next I ran the unpacker and i found strat.txt.strings, tooltips.txt.strings, and shared.txt.strings and copied them but i cant seem to find the regular files without the strings at the end and i still have no text.

i disabled uac or whatever its called now before i ran the unpacker so that shouldn't be getting in the way. I searched through packs 0 - 4 in the medieval 2 total war/packs and the packs for the 4 kingdom ones and i still cant find it. Which pack are they supposed to be in? Or if im doing something wrong of missed something thx ~

AFAIK, "strings" files are generated with the game start. So, launch vanilla and they should appear in M2TW/data/text directory; copy them into broken_crescent/data/text directory.

ahh kk was wondering, thx going to come back and try this again now that i can read the text
