HORDES OF SNAGA UNITS from all orc factions............ full army's of them the most annoying unit the evil side uses (not mod makers fault) is there an easy way to deal with them?????

I only hate Snaga when I play the dwarves.

Other then that they are pretty easy to deal with. Archers, Calvary, I have even had some of my infantry catch them after luring them into woods.

1. Early game: recruit dale cavalry, flank the snaga scum (as they are skirmishers, they will flee from the cavalry units, towards your infantry), catch them and hold them in place until your infantry arrive and crush them.
2. Mid game: see point 1., plus recruit iron crossbows, catapults and kill'em all.
3. Late game: snagas still exist? you're doing something wrong....

After how many turn do you call it late game?

Playing as Rohan is the easiest faction to deal with those meat on two legs, just use your cavalry (scouts)!

I went a bit over the top, I know how to kill them, it's just annoying having only one unit as a hard counter.

Yes, you're absolutely right, but as I've experienced, dwarves are relatively weak in the beginning only (especially against archers and skirmishers), but later, when trolls, mumakils or the Balrog appears, they are much stronger than most of the other factions (for example, you can just steamroll the OotMM with the High Elves in the beginning, but two or three units of trolls can make a serious harm in any elf army. If playing dwarves, the Dragonslayers, the Guards of Khazad-dum or the Iron Guard can easily defeat them).

Nah, it's good that you helped, I would hardly expect everybody to interpret by vaugely questionless statement as questionless.

Yep, you are absolutely right , but I was talking about playing as dwarves.
Around turn 50, the OotMM should be destroyed, and Khazad-dum reconquered (on vh/vh. On easier levels, it's quicker of course) and you can turn against Rhun and help Dale or kick Mordor out.
To answer your question, for me the late game as dwarves starts when OotMM is gone, the mountains are reconquered, the western and eastern kingdoms are united and my empire is strong enough economically to fight both Rhun and Mordor/Isengard at the same time (around turn 70-80). So late as I just love the Guards of Khazad-dum and they are quite slow to recruit.

as many have said cavalry, when playing as elves even 1 unit of lancers can wipe out 500+ snaga just keep charging then fleeing then charge again, or 3 units of light archers so much ammo most are fleeing before i have to charge them

When i played as Rohan, I Made the snaga's my ! then exacuted them after... An army of 1000 Rohan Calavlry. Agas'nt 5000 snaga's. You'd loose atleast 200 Clavalry ( if played right.. ) And completey destroy the enemy army

It's freaking annoying, but you can slaughter them also with dwarves, without crossbows, artillery and cavalry. Just ignore them and crush every other enemy units. Then, open wide your formation and corner them, a couple or 3-4 units at the time. Damn annoying, but it's the best way. If you start to chase them at the beginning, you will waste time and precious units that you will need in the main melee, so just ignore them until they are the only enemy units in the map.

I run them down with light infantry

just surround them, it is not that hard. after getting contact to them, send in your heavy infatry carnage...

i wrote this on another post that complained the exact same thing you are mentioning.

basically the cold hard truth about the dwarves is that they could be outrun by a hobbit with a severe case of trench foot. maneuvering around the flanks of the snagas is like asking them to throw spears at you. its a nono. dale cavalry is nice to have, but they are so few and precious you dont want to use them to attack snagas. the answer, my friend, are ballistas.

with 4 ballista units set with flame ammo you get an adequate, if not totally incredibly efficient way to kill hundreds of tightly packed snaga groups, and even the occasional Troll. protect them with your dwarves. dont let the siege weapons come under snaga attack. if the enemy is desperate enough he might even charge through your dwarves to get to them. use this to your advantage. nail em as they come.

for mid-late game, assuming that youre fighting against Mordor or Isengard (OotMM are dead right?), a good mix of ballistas and iron crossbowmen are necessary. believe it or not, Dwarven armies can become very efficient shooters, and if it comes down to it, can pretty much kill elven armies by using ballistas and crossbowmen efficiently.

Bela's absolutely right. Later in the game, when Trolls are common, you'll need all the AP you can get, and armies do not get anymore AP-based than dwarves.

I play using the RR/RC, and when I have my Dwarven Warriors lead the line (ap axe + shield + pretty accessible and replaceable = perfect leading troops) the snagas only kill a handful of them, and once they're out of ammo, it's pretty much game over for them.

1. When I played with Silvan Elves, I used archers, snagas just can't stop falling down, and the rest routs
2. When I played with Rohan, I used cavalry, any would do!
3. When I played with Dwarves, I chased them or again used archers... Unfortunately, dwarves don't have cavalry
4. When I played with Gondor, I again used cavalry!

So, what could you learn from my experience? USE CAVALRY!!!
